The essence and feelng of a living creature, in clay.  The hare, or rabbit, takes the place of sensuality, playfulness, and emergence, perhaps after a long winter. The artist used a mold of a tongue to make the repeated texture that cascades across the rabbit’s head, animating it with lifelike motion through texture and pattern. Made with a painterly majolica glaze, allowing the addition of delicate pinks and reds to the tips of each tongue.
